On Sunday September 15th, local historian Anita Danker will examine the violent 1913 Draper Corporation strike and discuss the utopian origins of the Hopedale community, the radical activity in the region, and the actions of former governor Eben S. Draper. He stood with his family’s business but died suddenly one year after his victory over the rebellious workers. In the end, breaking the strike may have broken him.
